Rolling Stone Keith Richards is giving up one of his guitars to help a high school in Rector, Ark.
The handmade electric guitar with pearl inlay will be auctioned on eBay to benefit the Rector High School Helping Hands Foundation. Organizer Bill Carter tells the Jonesboro Sun he's gotten offers up to $50,000 for it, but he hopes to get substantially more than that. Carter is an entertainment lawyer who represented members of the Rolling Stones in the 1970s and '80s. Carter told Richards how the foundation helps students in need, and Richards donated the guitar and a signed photo of him with it.
