[DISCUSSION] People say 90% of an electrics sound is determined by the pick ups, but do you think that applies when one is a hollow body/semi hollow and the other solid?

This thought entered my mind when I was considering putting 57 Classics in my Epiphone Es-335. I have a Les Paul with 57 Classics in it and before I was under the assumption that the hollow body changes the sound and using the same pick ups in both guitars would grant different results, but many seem to be under the belief that it’s all what pick ups are in the guitar. I’m interested to hear others thoughts on this. Do you think the body type changes the sound of a guitar in a noticeable way?
