Doug Aldrich Undergoes Successful Throat Cancer Surgery, Reb Beach to Fill In

Doug Aldrich, the guitarist for Whitesnake, Dio, and The Dead Daisies, has undergone a successful surgery to treat his throat cancer. Diagnosed with a treatable form of throat cancer, Aldrich will be unable to participate in The Dead Daisies’ upcoming European tour. He will be temporarily replaced by Reb Beach, a guitarist from Whitesnake and Winger.

Aldrich’s wife, Daniela “Danni” Aldrich, shared an update on her husband’s condition, stating that the surgery went incredibly well despite its complexity. She expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and noted that Aldrich is strong and loved, with a long road to recovery ahead.

Aldrich has a long history in the music industry, having played with various bands including Lion, House of Lords, Bad Moon Rising, and Glenn Hughes. He joined The Dead Daisies in 2016 and has been a key member of the band, contributing to their last five albums.
