I am a Musician/ Composer/ Performer on the Guitar

I am offering Beginner and Intermediate guitar lessons for all ages at your home or mine at a time of your choosing. I’m great with young children.

QUALIFICATIONS

-I’ve had an ongoing musical education since I was six years old, starting with the piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

– I’ve studied guitar technique and performance for over a decade with various educators as well as on my own time

– I am currently studying at Concordia University for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music/ Composition Specialization with guitar as my entrance instrument. This is a highly competitive program accepting only 25 applicants per year.

-Trained in Classical, Jazz and Contemporary.
-Teach many styles: Blues, Rock, Folk, Country, Alternative.
-Acoustic, Electric or Classical Instruction
-Will also help with Singing while playing

METHOD

I make a point of discovering the strongest interest the student has with guitar or music and enhancing the students ability in that area FIRST. This initial experience is important to establish that learning guitar is challenging AND enjoyable for the student. After this, progress is exponential.

I offer the first 30 minute lesson for free in order to establish the expectations students have with music and with me as a teacher.

During the consultation we can discuss how long each lesson should be to suit the students needs. My standard lessons are:

30 minutes for $25
1 hour for $40

I also offer lesson packages at discounted rates.

I will adapt in anyway necessary to ensure that the student is learning how and what they want to learn. This method allows the student to take ownership of their craft and is the most beneficial for creativity.
