I’ve been playing regularly since around 2020, but have known open chords and messed around long before that. I learned the pentatonic scale in Amaj in the G shape shortly after starting, and just slid that around the fretboard. There have been points where I must have known 10-12 different 🎸

Just as the the headline says above really, i was playing for a few days at my best really loving the sound, the music just properly getting into it, everything falling into place and then few days later i try out the same songs and its bland and boring to 🎸

I live in a house and the guy in the house behind mine is from what I can hear, learning to play guitar. It’s just hours of different chords being played at random times from early morning, afternoon, late at night. I don’t want to be a dick because it 🎸

Try using a drum pedal if you tire of the metronome. It will work the same magic for speed, and you can practice different grooves, i.e. straight 8ths, swings, Latin. These make your accents vary. In the end, it’s still practice. submitted by /u/Material-Wind4282 [link] [comments]
