Here are some images [1] [2] that will better show what I’m talking about. I am using 10-46 strings and they seem to sit more on top of the nut rather than in the slot itself. Also, it requires more force than normal to play the first fret. Any help

I started playing around December last year so I’m still very much a beginner and I’m going to be performing in front of about 200 people with my friend. I’m kind of nervous. Is there anything I should keep in mind while on stage? I’d really appreciate some tips :).
