As said in title. Recently borrowed a mesa dual rectifier multiwatt from a friend of mine. It’s just hard to get the early 2000’s “pop punk” tone like new found glory, blink 182 and some relatively modern pop punk tone like neckdeep. I’m using a mesa 4×12 slant cab. And 🎸

I am a beginner (self-learning, can just play basic chords) and CANNOT get my pinky to press on the strings one by one (like shredding). It also flaps like a train lever whenever I bend my pinky from the knuckle. No power or control over it unless I’m playing a 🎸
