First Attempt at Writing a Solo [Video]

This is my first attempt at (fully) writing a solo. I’ve tried fully improvising solos in the past, but never got anything good. This solo is a mix of improvising, then then taking the parts I like, and putting them into a full solo over a track that I’m making.

What do you think of it? It’s kind of hard when writing your own music, it’s like you’re blind to it, almost. It sounds decent to me, but could sound terrible to someone else. I will say that I can definitely hear that it’s a bit out of tune, and the production isn’t very good (no mixing other than quick adjustments to levels and a little bit of reverb). I know my playing’s a bit sloppy, I think I have some intonation problems, the bends aren’t always perfectly in tune, and the rhythm isn’t perfect. But I’m not sure if the actual melodies and licks I’m playing sound any good.
