How to make the most out of private lessons? [QUESTION]

I signed up for lessons at the local guitar shop and wanted to ask for tips on how to make the most of the time with the instructor.

Any instructors out there who can share what makes an ideal student ideal? Or, what they wish their students would stop doing?

Any tips from the student side on what accelerated your learning with your instructor?

I’ve been playing daily for three years and recently started jamming with friends.

I’ve learned a lot from YouTube and have a basic understanding of theory.

I don’t know any covers. My attention span never lasted to learn one all the way through.
