Hello all, I am shipping 3 guitars across the country. One is my dad’s older fender squire guitar from the 90’s. One is a jackson x that I bought at Christmas time and is in great condition. The last is a beginner level acoustic I got for Christmas about a decade ago.
My current plan is that I wrapped the Jackson and acoustic in a reflectix radiant barrier insulation roll. I will then wrap the guitars in blankets to keep them from banging around. My dad’s old guitar I bubble wrapped and put some insulation on the back of the guitar but not on the front.
My hope is that because I wrapped the two guitars in that insulation roll that it will not get heat damaged during shipping. Also, because I will wrap the guitars in blankets then they will not get physically damaged during shipping.
Will this plan work to protect my guitars or is it too crazy of an idea? I believe the insulation should work to protect it from warping :s. Any tips or anything else I can do?Trying not too spend too much money because I’ve already put in lots of money into getting cars and household items shipped and …
