An homage to Leo [Gear]

So I had a Squire bullet bass given to me, and it was pretty sad. i tore it down:

Roasted the neck under UV, after re-decaling, for a week or so which dried it out and tightened it up, also gave it some color; the fret sprout was crazy as the moisture wicked away.

I bought a Stingray bass-esque pickup from Amazon on a whim and routed body for it, at the Stingray position, though scaled to a 30-inch scale length. Also routed for the super switch and strat jack plate.

Then made a new pickguard. Borrowing a little from the original and some other Fender scratch plates.

The strat blade switch gives you five options from the single humbucker. The pickup is amazing!!! For 14 bucks.

The grey paint is auto primer.

I didn’t have routing templates for any of the work I wanted to do, so a bulk of the real labor was just making them.

Except for the pickup and headstock decal, upgrades are all spare parts. It’s such a great machine!
