Doug Aldrich Undergoes Successful Throat Cancer Surgery

Former guitarist Doug Aldrich, who has played with bands like DIO, WHITESNAKE, and THE DEAD DAISIES, has undergone a successful surgery to treat a diagnosis of treatable throat cancer. The surgery was completed on September 27, 2024, and according to his wife Daniela “Danni” Aldrich, it went incredibly well despite being a five-hour procedure with multiple steps. Aldrich will not be able to participate in THE DEAD DAISIES’ upcoming European tour and will be temporarily replaced by Reb Beach (WHITESNAKE, WINGER). The band has expressed support for Aldrich’s recovery and hopes for his speedy return to the band. Aldrich’s fans and the music community have also shown significant support, with many sending prayers and messages to help lift his spirits during this challenging time.
