Doug Aldrich Undergoes Successful Throat Cancer Surgery, Reb Beach to Fill In for Dead Daisies Tour

Former **DIO** and **WHITESNAKE** guitarist **Doug Aldrich** has undergone successful surgery for treatable throat cancer. The diagnosis was announced earlier this week, and as a result, Aldrich will not be able to participate in **THE DEAD DAISIES**’ upcoming European tour. He will be temporarily replaced by **Reb Beach**, a long-time friend and bandmate from his **WHITESNAKE** days.

Doug’s wife, Daniela “Danni” Aldrich, shared an update on her husband’s condition, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support and noting that the surgery was a success despite its complexity. The road to recovery will be long, but Aldrich is described as strong and loved by many.

Aldrich has a significant history in the music industry, having played with **DIO** from 2002 to 2006 and with **WHITESNAKE** from 2002 to 2014. He has also been a member of **THE DEAD DAISIES** since 2016, contributing to their albums “Make Some Noise,” “Burn It Down,” “Holy Ground,” “Radiance,” and “Light ‘Em Up.”
