When I was in early college, I saved up all my pennies to buy myself this bad boy. A Steinberger Spirit in Hot Rod Red.

I loved the idea of having a red headless guitar, after seeing the Valentine’s Day music video by David Bowie. His was a Hohner, but still.

I used to hate this guitar after playing nicer headless guitars like Strandberg’s and Kiesel’s; but after I finally taught myself how to set it up, I fell back in love with it.

If you get one, get the Single Ball End adapter from Andertons, because they don’t make many gauges with double ball ends, and they are expensive.
