I have a Gibson 335 that my parents gave me as a surprise Xmas gift in 1976, and because of that I will never get rid of it. I had stopped playing in my late 20’s (I’m now 64) and have recently started back up. I’m a 5’3″ tall woman (I’m only saying this to explain my size against the guitar) and I’m finding that playing the 335 is physically uncomfortable so I’m thinking about getting another guitar that might be a bit smaller and easier to play. I do have a Strat, but am thinking about another semi-hollow body, possibly with a fretboard for smaller hands.
I’m hoping that getting my chops back on a smaller guitar will allow me to go back to the 335 with more strength.
Any suggestions?
