So I’m not a newbie, I’ve been playing for a while. But a do have a newbie question.
I saved up enough to buy a pricier instrument recently.
Last month, I ordered a Les Paul Custom, which is one of my many dream guitars. It sounded and played like absolute crap compared to my guitars that are a fraction of the price, despite getting a pro setup from the seller. I didn’t want to still not like it after getting another setup and have it be outside the return window, so I ended up just sending it back.
I just tried another cheaper used Gibson model. This one’s even worse. It’s basically unplayable, despite the seller saying it played great when he shipped it.
Anyway, is it normal for shipping to ruin the setups on guitars? Maybe I should just quit doing online buying.
