I’ve been playing acoustic for about six years and I think you could say I’m an advanced player, or close to it. I can somewhat read music, know most of the theory I need and have a good grasp of the fretboard notes. I’d like to start playing electric but I don’t know where to begin. I have a pretty cheap guitar and an even cheaper amp that catches radio frequencies, so I barely ever play my electric. I don’t know how to use a pick at all and know absolutely nothing about tone and how to sound good. I fell like whenever I play electric I sound bad no matter how perfectly technically I play it. Do you guys have any tips to give me? Where to learn, where to start from, etc. Thanks in advance!
