[QUESTION] Do I need an overdrive pedal if my speaker already has a button for it?

Hi, newish to guitar. I’ve been using an amp with a built in clean/drive button but was considering getting an overdrive pedal (and a chorus) but I’m not sure if it’s the best move. any ideas?
