Hello everybody! I hope everyone is safe and well. Can you please help me with some advice? Although I have been playing guitar for a looooong time, I recently started studying scales. I’ve learned the major and minor pentatonic scale and the aeolian/ionian modes. Now, I’m going for the harmonic minor scale! Instead of only memorizing the positions along the fretboard, I trying to understand the intervals between the notes in a scale. However, I still have problems improvising because I’m having a hard time connecting the patterns/shapes together. This happens in every scale that I learned. I know there are some visual tricks that ca help to go from one pattern to another. Could someone tell me the most effective technique to connect patterns? Thanks a lot!!!!
