[QUESTION] I am getting better and better at guitar by just playing songs that I enjoy and learning them, but I want to be able to play the things in my head as they come up, how do I practice this skill

You could call this improv, but my problem is more playing what I want to play without having to think much, and I was wondering if there were specific exercises or maybe ways to go about playing that could let me practice this
