I began jamming for the first time ever with my friend, we both play guitar.
I’ve been playing longer than him, but neither of us for very long. Unfortunately, our jam sess consists of him doing an improv rock solo the entire time and I just kinda sit there trying to find a way to come in and play along, but he just keeps on soloing.
It’s honestly making me feel like I suck at guitar and some of the comments he makes to me sound condescending like “we’ll get there eventually”
How the hell do I play with him? A chord progression underneath? Solo alongside him? Really lost
