[QUESTION]How to make the best out of a cheap and old acosutic guitar?

I got an acoustic guitar from my cousin a year before quarantine so 3 to 4 years already in my possession and I just recently decided to take it up, not to mention the acosutic originally is very old tho I don’t know how long my cousin had it around.

The strings had lost color, the strings are tuned properly but are still making a buzzing or muted noice even tho I have made sure to properly play the frets and the finger placements, the closest lutheir or instrument shop is an hour away.(I am not in the states and mom is sick right now so travel is not possible)

The guitar is a red and black hovner model number 125 export with an adjustable truss rod.

The string are also just super tight like its overtuned even tho it’s not, I have been practicing the D chord and A chord from Justin guitar.

So reddit how can I make do with an cheap acoustic which is providing me with a myriad of problems, tho I am motivated to learn it, ultimately my goal is to basicly learn a song like twinkle twinkle properly and convince my parents to get me an electric Ibanez rg421
