[Gear] I’ve Inherited a guitar, i have some questions

So, I’ve inherited a guitar, it’s a 1973 Gretsch 7594 white Falcon, I don’t know anything about guitar, but my grandfather was a songwriter and a record shop owner, music was everything to him and he played literally until the day he died, he had 2 guitar, this and an acoustic that he quite never played because it was signed by Tony Rice and treated it like Gollum treated the ring 馃槀

Now I’ve some questions:

1) I’ve seen this guitar on sale for up to ten thousand dollars, it’s really that expensive?

2) i have been wanting to learn to play the guitar for a while and now i have the motivation to carry on my grandfather’s work, does it make sense to start on this guitar? or is it a “difficult” guitar to start on?

3) the guitar is in very good condition, does it need some special care due to his age? Consider that my grandfather played it quite every day

Thanks for help
