[DISCUSSION] How do you practice CAGED?

So I learned the major CAGED system. It makes total sense but I’m looking for suggestions on how to practice using it to make music. Right now I’m just looping simple I IV, I IV V and trying to play over them with arpeggios, pentatonic and diatonic scales focusing on resolving phrases on the root note. I usually pick one or two adjacent positions and staying within them. I also do this over backing tracks. What are some other ways to practice CAGED?
