[GEAR] Making the world’s first desktop (and portable) rotary speaker

For quite some time I had the idea on my head of making a desktop sized rotary speaker (AKA Leslie) and finaly had the time needed to make it a reality.

The title may sound a little bit pretentious but AFAIK it’s accurate. I’ve done a ton of research and couldn’t find anything really desktop friendly – the thing I’m designing is roughly the size of a cofee maker – and with a really important feature these days: It needs to sounds good at bedroom volumes. Also I want it to have enough power to be taken to a small gig. This is a must since it fits quite comfortably in a regular backpack with spare room for some cables and pedals so it begs to be taken anywere

I’m not trying to do self promotion with this thread so I’ll not post any link, I just want some feedback: Will you be interestd in a device like this? Do you think it is something worth to have or are you happy just using emulations? These are just the things that come to my mind right now but I’m sure you all will come up with a lot more interesting questions so that’s why I’m opening this thread. Just in case you are really interested in what this is about and how the project is going you can follow the process in the InspiringTracks subreddit

I’ll love to hear your toughts and ideas about this crazy poject. Any feedback is REALLY apreciated!
