For years I always thought of this as “that one cello song” because it was always heard in in passing, you know, movie theaters, doctor offices, and other background scenes.

I have no formal music training so I was never exposed to this song in a learning environment. I knew who Bach was but I had no idea that this composition belonged to him. Despite this being a background sound, whenever I heard it I would tune in. Something about the deep resonance of a Cello really pulls me in.

Eventually I learned the name and thought:

“I wonder how that would sound on a clean, electric guitar.”

So here we are a couple months later, shit is difficult.
