[QUESTION] can I build a baritone with a regular body?

I’m considering to get some parts and construct an electric baritone guitar. Now I have an idea that it’s enough to get a baritone neck (dedicated for 30″ scale) and just screw it onto a strat body. Is it going to work?

EDIT: my main concern is: can I place a neck of any scale lenght (assuming neck joint dimensions are correct) and expect it to work flawlessly, especially to have good intonation?
