Disclaimer: I am NOT looking for someone to validate my insatiable desire to purchase guitars.
My question is more about neck profiles and how they affect playability. I play a MIM Tele with a Modern C neck. Would a thinner neck facilitate faster playing? It seems like all of the “shreddy” guitars always have the thinnest necks. I can’t help but feel like I suddenly become 20% faster when I play one my dad’s Jacksons.
If the neck profile is negligible, how can I keep improving? I’ve been trying to clean up my technique in both hands and I’ve seen noticeable improvement, up until about a month ago. Ever since then it seems like I can’t break through no matter how hard I push myself.
