[QUESTION] When will the fender stagflation end and prices go back to sane?

I was looking on Reverb and eBay, ’cause I’m drunk and I have a neck injury and can’r leave the house. I thought about buying a Japanese made Fender strat for $1500 including shipping. It seems waaaaaay too much without trying it, and I just thought I’d get a second opinion as I wonder if I’m thinking I’m undervaluing the instrument. Is it worth more? Am I getting a deal? Either way I’m good. If I buy the guitar, I get a strat, if I don’t buy it then I keep my money until I get sober and free of neck pain. Is this stagflation actually going down or am I late to the “OMG how much do they want for that guitar party”? I’d really appreciate it if someone can make some sense of this as I just don’t get it.
