Hey all! So I had no idea that Wes Borland used a semi bass/guitar setup for some songs, found out when I saw PRS made a custom one for him. Mixture of bass and guitar strings. I can’t help but be fascinated, and started thinking about building something like that. 🎸

Olympic White with Fat 50s It’s the 10 year anniversary of getting my first electric guitar at 18! Big strat guy (first guitar was a squier classic vibe 60s strat), but I had never been able to get myself an American fender, I either didn’t have the funds for it 🎸

So I’ll make this short. I have a squier affinity jazzmaster that I’ve gutted and taken apart. I ordered a 12 string bridge, new pickups, and a custom 12 string neck from warmoth The only thing I need to get now are the tuning machines for the neck I ordered. 🎸

Currently use an Indian laurel fretboard and though it is dark it is still recognizably brown, however I would like to get it more on the side of black What product(s) or method(s) would you use to recommend this? Thanks! submitted by /u/Shep_- [link] [comments]
