I am self-taught and have been playing guitar on-and-off for 10+ years. I would say I’m pretty talented at this point, however I am very limited because I know nothing of music theory or how to improvise. For my fellow self-taught guitarists out there, how did you learn guitar music 🎸
Alright, its possible i’m just not thinking far enough into this but; Recently been thinking about pulling the trigger on a baritone. new project i’ve been writing for is pretty heavy overall but has some ambient stuff at times. So, Thinking about using this 27” baritone in this band; just 🎸
Do you guys have any tips to reducing tension when playing? When I’m unplugged I can hear the string noise very loud when I pick and also I hold the pick so hard it even makes my finger hurt. My wrists doesn’t hurt but I want a better and soother 🎸
It’s a 1993 Fender Strat MIM with the guts swapped from an HH Fender Jaguar. The lipstick tube pickup in the middle is actually a guitar fetish brand bridge pickup. The SPST switch in place of the 2nd tone turns the lipstick on and off, the two black roller knobs 🎸
I’ve always tuned my guitar with the app Guitartuna, but recently I decided to buy an analogical tuner. My problem comes whenever I try to tune the G string: when I use the app to tune it as always, my analogical tuner says that the string is not higher enough. 🎸
